Scrawled 12:04 AM
Shan showed me a bigger world of the blogs today, during COMT lesson of course my time is far too precious to waste. Anyway there was this attention seeking racist guy (he hated malays) and he drew alot of flak for his posts, if that is how he wants to get attention then so be it. The other guy started a blog flaming the racist guy, i think he seeks to ride on the racist guy's attention.
Well no here is my view. Blogging is not a claim to fame, it is just an additional something to your internet identity. I am sure many people do not blog totally everything that happens to them. Its just the internet identity that they are broadcasting in the blog. Found it rather sad that "xiaxue" whinned to the press after her blog was hijacked claiming "blogging is one of my biggest achievments in life". I pressed an imaginary hand to my forehead, please lady this is a sign that you need bigger achievements in life, and more realistic ones too.
Reality check people, last time i noticed i think that we were living OUTSIDE of the computer. Our real identity is the one of our flesh the one that people TALK (vocally) with. That people can actually touch and hug. If you think humankind getting enslaved by machines (like matrix) is a disturbing thought. Then all these internet identity folks should not take their identity (on the internet) so seriously. Getting more and more detached from life will eventually have you hooked up in a nifty little capsule filled with nutrient fluids and generating energy for little (and large) octopus-like creatures.
There is still one salvation though, that these "blogstars" still talk about their real lives. It sort of forces them to actually do things in reality so as to have more content in their blogs. But an increasing number have taken to mention fan mail and hate mail in their blogs. Yes this is equal to conversations in the real world. And they oh-so-kindly- request that "all stupid people should stop reading their blogs". Now now why did you start a blog in the first place if you did not want stupid people to read. Take this advice, let people take an IQ test before entering your blog so that only scientists researching a cure for aids can spend their spare time however limited in reading about what cake you ate today or what your ever intresting life might offer. Who knows? therin lies the cure for aids? Sorry i digressed. Now these "blogstars" are having a sense of possesion over their blog, as if their lives revolved around it.
Does the need for identity drive the human towards such degration?
Excuse me dear-blogstar-whom-i-may-have-offended. I am just an inferior non-blogstar who makes no sense, ignore this insignifcant fool now would you?
Anyway.
Watched charlie and choc fact with nette today, was a rather sweet tale. Read the book, its worth it. Marche'ed later on and was subsequently stuck inside for not meeting the minimum spending qouta (we were not hungry). After some syringe force feeding, we were freed at last. But not after we were tagged, marked with a hot poker and had some faecal samples taken.
Peter the fisherman and the net. No no not the internet, FISHING NET.
